ASV Sangiovese
Vintage '09 - Current Release
From a winemaker’s perspective, Sangiovese is just fun to make because it created such site specific wines. Here you'll find rustic aromas of earth, wild strawberry, and sour cherry, with subtle light spice, perfume, and minerality. It has a dried, red-fruit profile, and a mouthfeel of tight, dry tannins. This is one of three Sangios designated for the Site Archive series, all of which are perfect expressions of the vineyard sites they
come from.

Bonita Springs Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage '09 - Current Release
As with all of the grapes that came from this vineyard, we were excited to see what this fruit would offer from the first vintage. And again we were pleased to find it was going to be another worthy expression of our landscape. This is a deeper, darker, Cabernet Sauvignon than its ASV brother. There are loads of ripe blackberries, and cassis, with interesting roasted pablano pepper and tobacco notes. There’s a rich mouthfeel, with black cherries, chocolate, round tannins and a subtle sweetness. This is a crowd pleaser for sure! And one that we hope to see in this series again!

ASV Malvasia
Vintage '10 - Current Release
This is a varietal that shines bright for us every year. We have four blocks of malvasia at Arizona Stronghold Vineyard, all very different expressions that offer a varying array of aromatics. The Norte block that we've selected tends to show off more typical white flower, and melon notes, and this one is no different... theres also some nice clove, lime, and wet stone.

Bonita Springs Pinot Gris
Vintage '10 - Current Release
This one came as a bit of a surprise. Pinot Gris is always a strong blending component for us, but never really complete enough to be highlighted on its own. This was my first time making it from our Bonita Springs Vineyard, and I believe, is further evidence of the quality and diversity of this interesting and unique site. We produced a wine that's broad yet focused, with golden apple, almond biscotti, slight ginger tones, and nice finishing acid.
