2020 Diya

In 2020, our chardonnay crop was virtually non-existent due to a late spring frost. As a result, this year’s Diya has no chardonnay, and instead is a blend of viognier, vermentino, and malvasia bianca. This wine was fermented entirely in stainless steel. One third of it was aged in oak for 10 months, and the other 2/3 of it remained in stainless steel. It is both rich and light-on-its feet, and should be one of our most age-worthy Diya bottlings to date. On the nose you get explosive aromas of white peach, apricot, jasmine, lychee, lime, and vanilla. On the palate, white peach, lychee, lime, vanilla, and brioche. Drink within 7 years.
